dmschefke (371), Eastpointe, Michigan, USA Apr 8, 2009 Pours a hazy amber gold with medium white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, orange shavings, and maybe a little honey sweetness. Flavor is hoppy and grassy with pine and caramel. Medium bodied with an oily mouthfeel. Its a very solid IPA. adrian910ss (1395), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 7, 2009 On draft at Teresa’s Next Door Cafe. Pours a clear orange gold with a medium off white head. Aroma of orange peel, light pine and honey. Taste of fresh orange peel, pine and grapefruit. Hoppy. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England Apr 6, 2009 On tap at Toronado, San Francisco, with Phyllis, 24th Mar 09. Amber, quite low carbonation and a hint of a head. Very hoppy, clean tasting with a lingering grassiness at the back of the throat. Nice stuff. joeneugs (282), Livermore, California, USA Apr 6, 2009 This is a palate clobberer for sure. Hopheads love this beer. I have to be in the right mood. It has a very inviting aroma of citrus and grass in the nose, fresh and aromatic. It pours orange with lots of suspended particles floating around. It has a small but fluffy orange head. Light bodied grassy flavor with great hop profile. Not much else to balance it out. It feels nice and drinkable at the first few ounces, but as you near the end of the glass, it starts punishing you. But some people like that I guess. Overall a good IPA. larsniclas (3383), Gothenburg, Sweden Apr 4, 2009 Bottled
Golden with a small, white head.
Loads of flowery and grassy hoppiness.
High bitterness.
Fruity and citric. Under-age Drinker (96), Colorado, USA Apr 4, 2009 Had it on tap, so much better than the bottle. Pale orange, straw colored. Smells like green apple, pine, grapefruit and other citrus. Crisp, refreshing entry of hops with a mellow fade on the back of the mouth. Finish is a little oily, with perfect bitterness. One of the better IPAs in the world in my opinion. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Apr 3, 2009 lower scores do to tasting fuckin Surly furiuos right before, stupid, but i have a few bottles coming my way so til then ... golden in color .. honey dipped hop aroma ... . my mouth is covered in hop oil .. very nice flavor profile, but all i can think of is the under-jerk ... . good stuff .. . rmussman (905), California, USA Apr 1, 2009 Sampled in 16 oz. Pours golden tan with a thin lacey head. Has a decent amount of sedenment in the bottle. A really fresh hoppy brew. Definitely a lot of hops in this brew with an equal amount of malts. A good brew.
