Steady stream of tiny bubbles rising. Clean white grapefruit aroma. Dry. Dripping with hops. Bitter of course. Herbaceous, leafy green. Reminds me of a leaner 2007 Hopslam when it was still good. Very tasty proficient IPA. m4rest88 (216), Beverly Hills, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2008 Pours a clear golden hue, with a white frothy head that is mostly diminishing.
Aroma is of Hops, Barley, and Yeast - pretty good smelling IPA
Bitter flavor all the way through - the hops and barley really came through in the taste. Not as bitter as I expected though.
Medium Body with light carbonation.
Not a bad IPA, decently tasty and nice to the nose. danielcurtis81 (885), San Diego, California, USA

Great pine, grapefruit flavors. A solid bitter finish. Real good!! ironchefscott (342), portland, Oregon, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 14, 2008 Bottle from my brother - Vac. Poured amber with a frothy white head that left some lasting and good lace down the glass. Great grapefruit aroma with a backing of pine and light malts. Lots of citrus hop flavors with a light malt for balance. Medium body that was just slightly tart up front but with a very enjoyable bitter ending. Awesome. GodOfThunder (861), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 10, 2008 Copper color with thin, foam, white head. Smell is strong pine with grapefruit. Excellent smell. Taste is actually a little less bold than the smell would suggest. Slightly sweet, but smooth and not ultra-bitter. Very good IPA. BillKismet (1903), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2008 Bronze with a proliferation of upward hurling tiny bubbles feeding a luscious cream top. Divinely honeyed hop florals and bitterness are a hop nectar salve to the nostrils. Bitter and sweet notes intermingle. Raw hop leaf flavor and good, refined bitterness. Piny. A hop lovers IPA. Ends moderately dry. LtDan (484), LA - Originally from South NJ!, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2008 Good, but overhyped. Poured a cloudy yellow with a fluffy white head. Aromas of grapefruit rind and pine. Signature ton of hops like in Pliny, but very soft in the finish. I guess every CA IPA cant be super abrasive, but I was looking for more citrus or more pine and did not get either. Still beats 99 percent of the east coast IPAs out there.
