| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 11, 2008 Clear golden color with a nice white head that retained pretty well and left good lacing. Pretty intense aroma of grapefruit and pine as well as some other tropical, resinous aromas I couldn’t quite pinpoint. Light mango on the tongue initially, before gaining more of a pineapple taste, a bitter pine-tasting wave slowly creeps up, but hits you with a bang and leaves you with a bit of lemon once the wave dies out. Light body, but not thin, medium carbonation. A very enjoyable IPA. Thanks to doubleo for the bottle. OldMrCrow (1185), Seattle, Washington, USA

Well, now I’ve ticked off both Blind Pigs. (Leavenworth being the other). This one was maybe 10 weeks old when I received it in trade, but it was still really, really good. I’d be eager to try even fresher. I think the aroma would really come into its own at that stage. Still, lovely citrus hops without a heavy malt base, just nice and toasty instead of overdosed on the caramel malt. Sort of a mellowed out Pliny the Elder, superbly drinkable. Hope this one becomes available locally! tjthresh (1765), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Pours golden amber with just a little bit of haze. Thick and sticky pure white head. Aroma is full of clean citrus. Grapefruit and bubble gum. The flavor comes off as pine right down to the prickly bitter finish. Medium body, but drinks fairly light. Long bitter finish. I can surely see why the west coast guy sing Blind Pig’s praises. carl4beer (400), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA

Golden-amber with a nice, bubbly white head, long-lived. Nose is mainly pine but exhibits some grapefruit and a little grass. Extremely bitter flavor, but simultaneously clean and somewhat hollow. The mouth is way too soft given how abrasive the flavor is. While easily enjoyable, it’s not very diverse, nor does it excel in its focus. KieferUGA (461), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Wonderful citrus aroma, with hints of grapefruit and a bit of lemon zest. Nice lacing throughout. Flavor is a perfect balance of sweet malts and hoppy resins. Long bitter finish. What a wonderful beer, one of the best. Dedoulequeen07 (136), london, Greater London, England

Massive fruity aroma - tropical fruits, peaches and peaches dominate with licks of citrus hops. Flavour is grassy and piney with a refreshing hoppy finish and great balance of bitterness. Great body and mouthfeel. V Tasty and definetly one i would like to taste again.
