boamr (112), Pennsylvania, USA Aug 16, 2009 On tap at Capones. Pours an orange color with a nice amout of white head. Has a citrus hoppy smell to it. Has great citrus hop taste it. Not to bitter on the finish. sneagrams3 (1704), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Aug 13, 2009 Tasted 8/13/09. 500ml bottle. Bottled on March 3 2009. Mildly sedimented with a deep golden hue. Brain and ring of off-white head. Good nose with hints of citrus grapefruit and sweet breads. Nice earthy note. Medium bodied and rather sharp on the initial sip. Astringent effervescence. Tingling hoppy flavor. Solid palate. Good roast on the malt aspect. Finishes sweet with a mildly cloying aspect. Good flavor and on the dry side. Fruity and tasty. Big bitterness but still with a solid sessionable quality. crajun (89), , Texas, USA Aug 13, 2009 I am finding out I am not an IPA man
way too much hops for me
Great color, aroma - just couldn’t handle the hops CheersMate1 (770), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 12, 2009 On tap at Naked City. Holy stuffings Batman! This beer was great. Nice peach/gold/copper color. Very little head but leaves some nice lacing. Fresh and pungent citrus hop aroma. Not hard to smell this one at all. Very lovely IPA aroma, and I can’t get enough of it. Focuses heavily on the citrus hop aroma. Nice smooth beer, and a very fresh and clean hop profile. Nice citrus hop flavor that is amazing and nice. Also, there is a slight malt sweetness to balance it out. The malt is VERY subtle. The bittering hop is just so nice along with the rest of the hop profile. Truly and amazing IPA, I hope to try this again soon. matt7215 (942), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Aug 11, 2009 500 ml bottle from bhensonb. pours hazy orange with an everlasting white head. nice balanced hoppy and malt aroma. mutiple hop varieties. the flavour is balanced but complex. not much to say here really its just a damn tasty very solid IPA. thx bill. mattmc1973 (300), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Aug 11, 2009 500ml bottle, bottled on 7/23/09, poured into a tulip. Pliny Jr! Pliny Light! Pliny the Younger...no wait, that’s taken. But definitely Pliny-esque, on a smaller scale. Pours a clear light amber with off-white head. Aroma of big resinous hops, pine, and grapefruit. Tastes of grapefruit and piney hops, with a bit of sweet malt backbone. Mouthfeel is crisp and dry, very quenching. Definitely a great IPA!! GranvilleTim (466), Granville, Illinois, USA Aug 10, 2009 Yellow pour with white head. Very hoppy aroma of grapefruits. Very flavorful beer. Piney aftertaste. This beer provided the nicest lacing on a glass that I’ve ever seen. chibbyman (19), kabul, Afghanistan Aug 7, 2009 grapefruit/nectarine turning resiny on nosing. the malt backbone in relation to bitter hop content is nearly perfect. very long clean & dry finish. this is f’ing fantastic!!!!
