Russian River Blind Pig IPA

A hazy orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is super delicious witth hoppy notes of grass and pine needles. The flavor is very much in balance between the sweetness and the bitternes with notes of malt, and lots of hops, giving it notes of grass, pine needles and grapefruit. Thanks a bunch to Kasper at Nørrebro Bryghus for serving this at my birthday party, hand bottle by Vinny - what a treat!

(On tap - Toronado) Clear, golden with an off-white head. Very fresh, citric aroma. Medium body with sweet, pale malts and then the most wonderful fruity accents. The finish is dry and bitter. A brilliant IPA. 250307

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy amber. Striking grapefruity nose. Punishing soapy oily hops makes my tastebuds distort. The mouthfeel is fairly soft but the bitterness is relentless and inky. Hardcore IPA.

From tap at Pizza Port in San Clemente. Pours cloudy orange with a lacing white head. Fruity hops aroma, light peachy quite inviting. Solid grapefruit and mild peach hoppy flavour. Dry and slight bitter spiced finish. Smooth and greatly balanced.

Clear medium to dark yellow orange color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel, fruity, heavy hoppy, grapefruity, orange, light perfume. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090411]

Bottle. Clear golden coloured with a white head. Aroma of hops and grape fruits with notes of pine needles. Flavour of fruits, hops and grape fruits with notes of pine needles.

Draught, at the brewery
Hazy golden-amber colour. Fairly piney aroma with a hint of earthiness. Extremely dry hop juice flavour, only vaguely balanced. Gets a bit herbal in the finish. Intense, but without much to distinguish it.
