The West Coast IPA--low malts, to be sure (I would prefer more) but beautifully executed as an example of the style. michael-pollack (2718), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Growler - slightly hazy golden pour, with a soapy lace - crisp, grassy, wet hop aroma, with loads of pine, grapefruit, orange peel - earthy pine/grass and tangy citrus flavor - medium-bodied, but nice and crisp/clean - very lean maltiness allows those hops to shine - a really nice ipa. nick76 (2676), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2008 Thanks to Unrulythings. The aroma is very piny and citrusy with sweet malt to balance the hops. The appearance is hazy gold with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. The formula to a great IPA is simplicity in matching aroma and taste. This one does that well. puzzl (2635), New York, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Bottled. Golden orange, stacked high and white. Nose of loose, slutty hops, dancing around the timid malts like they were getting paid for it. This is no childs play. Honey, put the kids to bed! These hussy hops beg their way to your mouth and provide a slick, sensuous flavor arousing even the most timid bloke. They definitely leave a lasting impression. Great for a night but I would not want the wife to find out about this one. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Sweaty pine needles and lots of toasted orange rind hops aroma. Hazy, medium orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Great orange rind hops and mild grapefruit flavour with lots of bitter citrus seeds. Medium body is very bitter. Very well-balanced, very tasty, this bitterness could hide even more percentage.
