Big strong floral hop aroma. Some citrus rind, very faint earthiness/soil. Tangy and tart on the tongue. Certainly hoppy but not overly biting. Bark is harsher than the bite, so to speak. Very flavorful. Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full. Finishes long, lingering hop smoothness with hints of soil and rind. Liked this one more than all their other examples.

Sweaty pine needles and lots of toasted orange rind hops aroma. Hazy, medium orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Great orange rind hops and mild grapefruit flavour with lots of bitter citrus seeds. Medium body is very bitter. Very well-balanced, very tasty, this bitterness could hide even more percentage.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 11, 2009 Appearance: Pours out a lightly hazed, faintly-hued, dull copper body with a wispy, white head.
Smell: Pungent nose dominated by robust hop notes of pithy grapefruit, earthy lemon rinds, pineapple, and flowers.
Taste: Starts with a subtly sweet, restrained pale malt base from which to launch yourself into the hop field. Soon, a full-on barrage of sharply citric hop character and bitterness pushes its way onto the palate. Strong accents of white grapefruit and rustic lemon, with somewhat lesser undertones of fruity pineapple and pressed flowers. Medium-high bitterness. The beer remains assertively bitter all the through (and beyond) the very dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. A bit oily, a bit sticky even.
Drinkability: Well, there’s no question, it’s certainly one for the hop fiends. About as reasonably easy to drink as a cuttingly bitter India Pale Ale can hope to be. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | May 12, 2009 On tap at Falling Rock, Denver. Golden orange/yellow, nice sized white head. Great aroma - lots of grapefruit and citrus, some malt as well, very fresh. Great taste - again, nothing remarkable in my description - lots more citrus with a piny edge to it. Body is almost crisp with a solid malt base. I drank two of these very quickly - one of the most flavourful and sessionable IPA’s I have had. Does not beat you over the head, but does not turn into hop juice either - perfectly balanced and made for fresh massive consumption. It was my first visit to falling rock and I had 70 + taps to choose from with a ton of new and exciting options to choose from but I went back to this at the end of the night - that should tell you something. Bottle: The aroma has lots of grapefruit along with mango and pineapple. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a small soapy white head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of mango. The finish has lots of grapefruit and light pine. Light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. 1FastSTi (2590), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 2, 2006 GABF 2006. The beer pours to a golden body with a white head. The aroma is awesome. Extreme hopping. Fruity peaches, nectarines, pineapple, simcoe-esque hops. The flavor is malty and hoppy and nicely bitter. Decent bitter resiny palate. Nate (2569), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2008 From bottle courtesy of dpjuart. Oddly smoky character to this one. Pine and grassy bitter notes. Very little sweetness but nice. Not as fragrant as the Pliny. Amber gold with haze topped with thin white head. Medium watery body with light to medium carbonation. Starts smooth with bitter character an a bit of malty sweetness. Finishes, however, with a big hit of grassy bitter character that is harsh and gets harsher into the after. Pretty rough bitter after, and could use a bit more malt character. Bockyhorsey (2556), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Copper body big white head and good lacing left on glass. Dry resin grapefruit and some sweet citrus orange flavor. Cool and crisp on the palate mighty fine refreshment. Thanks BuckeyeBoy.
