Pour is clear golden with a thin off white head...piney resinous nose...aggressively bitter flavor...nice malty undertones of biscuits and bread, but strongly citrus bitter...

On tap at hollingshead deli in Orange, CA This brew has a nice golden color with an outstanding hop aroma. Hoppy up front with a smooth finish. This is a very nice IPA. I’d highly recommend it.

On tap at O’Brines. Aroma was a bit disappointing; not bad, but not great. Citrus and grapefruit. Flavor was very hoppy for the style; not the best hop flavor, but really good. Color was a clear gold/yellow with not much head. Managed to be balanced, despite the strong hop presence. REally good for style.

9/10/2008: Russian River Bling Pig looks thick, has a hacy golden color, fine sediment, and an average white head (good lacing). The aroma has lots of orangy hops, some resi,t toffee malt, and PINEAPPLE. The bitterness level is high, but not too much. It’s a good blend of bitterness and hoppy flavors dominated by PINEAPPLE. I think there is also a some Cascade hops. This beer is definitely more hoppy than malty and that’s okay. This beer has amedim-light body, soft palate, and is really drinkable. Overall it is a great IPA.

Tap @ Toronado. A golden orange color with an off-white head. A nice fresh hop and floral aroma with a robust wet hop flavor of intense pine. Some fruity notes at the edges on this otherwise bitter and cleansing palate.

Bottled, thanks Vode! Copper color. Thick juicy hop aroma with pine, orange, lemon and herbs, excellent! Dry bitter flavor with pungent piney, orangey, grapefruity and herbal hops. Excellent fresh hop aroma and flavor!

Clear and golden hued,...lush, enormous white head, ...beautiful...a lace-leaver... Aroma is flat-out piney hops, prickly, sparkly, tingly, tangy, yum...ferociously fresh flavor, pineapple and apricot, lemon, and pine cones...damned fresh...I love it! God, I love it! Taste it, already...slides on board the palate assuredly and provides the same fresh, vibrant hoppy flavor that blessed the nose. Zips merrily along the tongue, blazing bitterness, but balanced beautifully with zesty flavor. Never, never quits...so easy to drink, and so ample in it’s hoppy bounty... Not too anything, this, and just right with all the appropriate ingredients, especially for the hopheads in the house....medium-bodied, with a lightly bitter, fruity finish...holy crud, I could spin every superlative off the top of my head and still feel like I’ve missed a few...every IPA I’ve tasted from Russian River has been amazing, and this continues that trend...if Vinnie is capable of making a bad one, I don’t want to know...

Wonderfully carbonated harvest orange body. The pure white head started out with three inches of foam and hasn’t quite disappeared thirty minutes later. A nice hoppy aroma. The body was fantastically bitter with a nice drying finish.
