| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2008 Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours a clear golden body with a thin white head. The aroma is awesome; citrus hops and I mean tons of hop goodness. The taste was more mellow; a smooth sweet hop flavor, some grapefruit and sweet malts. Easygoing and very tasty. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2006 On tap at The Bistro/Hayward - This is simply one outstanding IPA. Russian River doesn’t EVER fail to deliver and this IPA is nothing less that expected. Aroma is citrusy and floral. Appearance is a bright, clear orange/light orange in color with a rather small head (this was pouring it out of my pint glass into a proper tulip glass too). Mouthfeel is medium in body, lightly carbonated. Flavor is a near perfect balance between hoppy delight and malty goodness. A ton of orange/citrus/grapefruit combo in the flavor along with the strong malt backbone makes this incredibly balanced. Top notch IPA, and would beat the pants off of some IIPA’s. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 24, 2007 On tap at Russian River - Golden-amber color with a light head. Aroma is dominated by sweet citrus hoppiness. Flavor is a nice citrus hop, sweet mix of goodness. Some light and sweet malts here, but mostly just solid IPA. The way all IPAs should be - perfect malt/hop balance for a regular IPA. Vinny is a genious with this stuff! NachlamSie (1654), Tennessee, USA

Pours a hazy bright orange with a delightful head. I love IPA’s that look like this. Damn, this is hoppy. Very fresh stanky hops. Lots of grapefruit, sticky herbs, very little malt going on. The mouthfeel is dry and sticky in a sublime way. Lots of herbal bitterness, grapefruit, assorted citrus, wood, pineapple. This is one serious IPA that is all about the hops. I’m really glad I got a fresh sample this time. Butters (1654), Virginia, USA

Can’t even describe the balance. flavor doesn’t quite live up to the aroma, but still pretty good, piney and floral. Medium thin body with good bittering but not a lingering finish.
