Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, flowers and some candies. Flavor starts slightly malty and sweetish and quickly turns into a very pleasant hoppy bitterness with grapefruits and a bit of other fruits. Medium-bodied. 8/3/8/4/16=3.9
(10/20/08) Draught at Monk’s Cafe in Philadelphia. Clear golden with a big stable white head. Aroma of big citrusy hoppiness and a bit of caramelly malty notes. Fresh bitter hoppy flavor with some flowers, grapefruit, orange hints and malty undertones. Great long citrusy bitter finish with light resinous notes. A great highly-drinkable IPA. 8/4/8/4/16=4 JMFG (1514), Florida, USA

Amber color, thin even white layer of foam. Peppery hop aroma with some citric background. Very tasty - darkly citric hop character plays on the palate right away, followed by some malts. The hop finish lingers nicely. Very nice. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Sampled at Russian River in mid-June 2007. Clear golden, almost light copper with a white head. Sharp, citrusy/centennial hop nose - very nice. Flavor has notes of pale malt, grapefruit, cascade/centennial hops, and a light hint of caramel. Has a proper level of bitterness for an American IPA but not too crazy. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Quite enjoyable. Ethereal (1511), London, Greater London, England

First off let me start by saying "Wow" this beer deserves all the hype/praise it has been getting. Pours a slightly hazedr orangey flat body with an average size fluffy white head. Aroma is hopriffic with loads of hops, citrus and pine but also has a good amount of sweetness that is reminiscent of DFH 120 Minute IPA. Medium bodied with a good solid mouthfeel, average carbonation and a bitter finish, spot on. Flavors of citrus rind, grapefruit, biscuits and dry floral notes. I am really torn on this beer. On one hand I wished I opened it with some other local RBerians so they could expierence this great IPA but then if I did that there would have been less for me. I think I made the right choice on drinking this one alone. Cavie (1503), Fort Worth, Texas, USA

Smells very hoppy with sweet and sour hops present. Taste is large hops. Some sappy elements but mostly rough on the palate. This is really big for a standard IPA. jkwalking05 (1501), Arlington, Texas, USA

Blind Pig pours a hazy honey brown color with a smallish off white tan head. Light carbonation is visible. Aroma is not big and offers citrus, caramel, and pine. Flavor begins with a tart and bitter hop bite that is sweetened by caramel. While the hops are assertive they are also pillow soft at times. There is some nice pepper spice that shows up as the beer warms. The hops are so delightfully complex and well crafted. This is what an IPA should be! I was sorry to see the bottom of the glass.
