Jan 16, 2009 500 ml 09/05/08 bottle in pint glass. Golden with lasting dense white head and lace. Pungent fresh orange citrus and a little pine aroma. Mild sweet honey biscuit with flowery hop flavor and piney resin bitterness. Medium body and carbo. Incredible balance, great flavor. This might be the perfect session beer.

Aroma of pineapple, orange, flowers, fresh fruit, citrus. this is tight. flavor pine, grapefruit, citrusy hops. this is awesome. very drinkable. out of this world nose.

Nov 23, 2006 Updated: Jul 14, 2007Pours a fairly clear light amber with a loose white head. Aroma is huge pine and grapefruit. Body is med. light with med. CO2. The flavors are very hop forward, very piney, very heavily grapefruit, (Chinook and cascade?) and the malts are barely even there. Just enough to lightly balance the hop flavor but not enough to balance the bitterness which is intense, maybe bordering on astringent. Extremely dry finish. This is one hell of an IPA and deserving of all the hype it has gotten. Just beautiful.

Aug 11, 2009 500 ml bottle from bhensonb. pours hazy orange with an everlasting white head. nice balanced hoppy and malt aroma. mutiple hop varieties. the flavour is balanced but complex. not much to say here really its just a damn tasty very solid IPA. thx bill.

Dec 18, 2007 Tap: Clear gold with a sticky lacing. Almost a molding hop compost pile arom, but not bad. Interesting, distinctive. Great blunt bitter baseball bat to the tongue with a slightly tinny aftertaste. Yummy, quite enjoyable.

Nov 15, 2008 bottle brewed 6 weeks ago poured into a tulip glass has a nice orange ice tea color and a thick one finger white head that retained rather well and laced the glass nicely. aroma has juicy grapefruit hops, citrus peels, pine, orange zest, and underlying malts. perfumed and enticing. mouth feel is medium with biting carbonation and good coating. flavor is all about the hops, (pine, grapefruit, citrus), sweet enough to keep the bitterness down, and just enough caramel malt to keep the hops balanced. finish has a long duration of hops coating. very good and extremely fresh tasting.

Oct 15, 2007 GABF 2007. The best IPA I sampled @ the fest. Strong hop character, much like a IIPA w/out the malt to back it up. Just pure hops. Momma like.

Feb 6, 2009 Poured a clear light copper color with lots of active carbonation and a short white head. Average lacing. Nice aroma. Orange and grapefruit first followed by a hefty dose of pine. Light floral and some sweeter graham cracker as well. The flavor was pine hops, light citrus and a solid caramel malt backbone. Easy drinking with a clean finish. Good.
