Nice floral, citrus aroma with a great balance of caramel and biscuit malts. Dry, piny, grassy flavor with nice citrus notes and a well balanced biscuit and caramel malt profile. Creamy, medium body with very soft carbonation. MatSciGuy (638), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2009 [Bottle] brought back from S.F. Pours a bright orange with a medium fluffy beige head. Aroma is quite musty, with tons of grapefruit and tangerine. Flavor is still a bit musty, not too much malt, which lends to a quite dry mouthfeel. Bitterness grows as I drink it, and is a bit enhanced by the dry mustiness. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 3, 2009 A very solid IPA. Lots of hops on nose, tounge, aftertaste and more. Another bigtime hop guy from RR. An almost orange color, a nice fluffy off-white head. A slightly varamel sweet taste to compliment the piney-citrus hops. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Draft: Poured a golden color with a small head. The aroma was pine and citrus. The flavor was very much pine with a hint of lemons. The hops were strong, but smooth and did not leave a strong bitter aftertaste when I was done. Overall, a really good IPA. wickedpete (629), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 16, 2009 Clear light amber body, white head that fades, leaving lots of webby lacing on the glass. Nice crisp hop aroma, not overly sweet, herbal, gassy, dank, pineapple and lemon. Dry bitter flavor, slight sweet balance, bet lets hops dominate. Finishes clean and dry. talon1117 (627), Bellvue, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Pours a transluscent, oragey-copper color with a moderately full, white, creamy, pillowy head which lasts fairly well leavinga small amount of lace. Nose is intense and wonderful with lots of citrus noting tangerine, apricot, and orange zest; other notes inlcude some resinous pine and maybe hints at grass. Flavor is not the same with the citrus disappearing a bit; notes include tangerine, light pine resins, and very dry grass. Very high bitterness comes through drying the beer out in a long flavor progression; by the finish, the dry grass and high bitterness almost become bark-like. Palate is DRY, moderately full, a bit sticky, and not quite lively. The nose was great but the bitterness is overdone, it dries the beer almost completely out. If you like them bitter and dry, this will be a favorite of yours but not my style. 502Flavors (622), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 25, 2009 bottle from Whole Foods. Bottled on 11/19/08. Amazing sweet fruity complex hop aroma thats almost sweet like Belgian candi sugar. It all fits together very nicely. Nice dark golden color verging on amber with a good white head thats dense, holds and laces. Not in your face hoppy, but so smooth and balanced and flavorful - grapefruit, lemony citrus, pine, cali bud, doughy bready malt. Medium to light body, but I have to give this a 5 on palate because it is so silky smooth and so juicy feeling from the hops. BeerBunker (616), Burbank, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 24, 2008 Nice hazy golden color with a white head. Nice aroma of hops, citrusy flavors, and flowers. Taste is of very bitter hops and oranges. Nice carbonation. Bitterness lingers after each sip. Overal, I was unimpressed. Though it was a quite refreshing beer.
