Jul 8, 2009 Bottle (500ml) shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow & tupalev -- c/o tupalev. Pours a slightly hazy orange with an average size bubbly white head. Lovely aroma of resiny hops, fruity and malty as well -- amazing! Flavour: Delicious, juicy hoppy goodness, so easy to drink, the alcohol is totally hidden. Nice full mouthfeel. Fantastic!

Nov 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with an average, frothy, white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, hay, straw, meal), heavy hops (flowers, pine, citrus), average yeast (dough, sweat) with notes of apple, pear, and peach. Medium bodied, mineral texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity, and heavy bitterness.

Aug 28, 2008 Much thanks to hopdog for landing a bottle to share. Pours a lightly hazy golden with a medium creamy/bubbly white head that laced. Aroma of grapefruiit, pine, other mixed citrus, juicy hop cones, caramel malt...ok..bottom line, you can’t ask for more in the aroma on an IPA! Flavor of...well you got it...tons of fresh hops, pine, grapefruit, lemon zest, caramel malt, nicely balanced hop bitterness, only thing I can think that it may be missing is some more malt flavor to balance out the flavor a bit. But don’t get me wrong...this is hands down one of the best IPA’s out there!

Mar 27, 2006 Draft at the Hoppiest Place on Earth. Another IPA that represents the West Coast properly. Bright citrus zest with some cinnamon and some sweet malts. Perfect with spicy food.

Oct 21, 2006 GABF 2006. Amber body with a small white head. Aroma is big piney hops and some grapefruit and orange peel. Taste is fruity and bitter with more evergreen, caramel, sweet malts and citrus peels. Body is medium-full with a resinous, oily feel. Finishes with more piney and citric hops, caramel and sweet creamy malts. Nice IPA, but would you expect anything less from Russian River?

Nov 2, 2009 Bottled 500ml. -from City Beer Store, San Francisco. Orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, grapefruity hoppy nose. Piney hoppy and fresh citric with touch of spices. Pleasant bitter finish and long-lasting artertaste. Decent IPA.

Mar 25, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear golden color. Head was thin, white, and left a bit of lace on the glass. Aroma and flavor were dominated by grapefruit and pine resin. The beer’s delicate malty sweetness is overwhelmed by its ample hop bitterness. Tasty.

Jan 20, 2007 On tap at O’Brien’s 1/19/07. Usually drinking a triple then a double IPA then a regular IPA might cause problems. Not true with Blind Pig. Poured clear dark yellow with no head. There was a very minimal hoppy aroma. This brew has a huge front heavy hoppy taste, that has an incrediblly large bitter punch. The supreme bitterness may be partially obliterating my taste buds. This brew for 6% is quite difficult to drink quickly.
