Golden pour with a white head. Aroma is citrus and pine. Some malts can be had in the nose, but the power of the hops takes over! And then the flavor...tastes like biting into a nice big chunk of grapefruit skin...also some pine notes in it. I could sit and live off the aroma of this beer for days...and the flavor is just plain amazing. presario (3009), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Citrus up front then woody notes blending back into more citrus in the finish. Solid. SledgeJr (3003), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Apr 9, 2006 On tap at the Toronado. Rich gold in color with a white head. Thick hop aroma. Flowery, but not very citrus-like. Flavor is a different story: Love at first sip! This could be grapefruit juice. Tastes like you’re drinking a freakin’ citrus tree! Fantastic. Aroma is very fresh piney and grapefruit hops, kumquats too. Really good tasting IPA with earthy and grapefruit elements. Light carbonation, somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Great litttle bottle of beer. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Updated: Aug 1, 2008Sample at O’Brien’s in San Diego. Pours a deep bronze color with a medium thin downy white head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Pine and lemony citrus aroma. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with pine, hops and citrus flavors in varying degrees. Some malt is present as well. The finish is hoppy and resinous with a lingering bitterness afterward. Not much to complain about here.
