hoplover (166), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Oct 27, 2008 This beer is just outstanding! I don’t think that I gave any beer a perfect score but this one deserves it! jwbrewing (1), Reno, Nevada, USA does not count Oct 27, 2009 I’ve had this fresh of the taps at Russian River. One fine IPA. I believe this is one of the best IPA’s around. Great Aroma! Nik925 (300), California, USA Jun 10, 2008 Had to give this one a slightly lower score than Pliny the Elder, as that beer edges out this one. Other than that, this is a perfect beer. Russian River brew pub is stunning, having to decide between R.R. IPA, Blind Pig and Pliny is a crazy tough choice (presuming you are ignoring the amazing Belgians). cohiba73 (11), Texas, USA Dec 26, 2008 Wow great IPA, on draft at the falling rock in Denver, beautiful orange-golden color with nice white head, fresh hop aromo, piney, citrussy. The bitterness is balanced with the malt flavors and overall extremely drinkable beer. One of my favorites. polarbeer (3), USA does not count Sep 5, 2008 This is the best IPA I have tasted. It is well balanced and the aromas and taste are great. I had my first pint on tap at the brewery. It is worth making a trip to the brewery. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Aug 31, 2009 This beer I found to be a truly fantastic IPA and I can’t wait until I get the opportunity to drink it again. Very aromatic with grapefruit and other citrus. An excellent strong bitterness throughout. Just great stuff. mrhoppy (209), Santa Clara, California, USA Mar 15, 2009 Kick Ass IPA. If you know hoppy beers you know the deal. It is all here. Smell, taste, bitter, sweet. Ooooh that smell. That smell that surrounds me. Regular must have for sure. Vinnie is a beer genius. Hop Heads rejoice. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA Sep 28, 2006 Enjoyed this one on draught, this past July, when I paid Russian RIver Brewing a visit. They had four IPA’s on draught the day I visited, and of the four, Blind Pig was my favorite. This beer is a classic example of AIPA just bursting with hop aromas, flavors, and bitterness. This beer pours to a beautiful, slightly hazy, orange color, with a creamy white head, and a moderate carbonation. The nose on this beer is just so zesty, and fragrant. It explodes with big lemon peel/citus and piney hop aromas. The palate is firm, with some good sweet/pale malt, paired with lots of really good, tangy, lemon/citrus hop flavor. Blind Pig finishes with more good sweet malt and tangy hops up front, then ends with a big, mouth puckering bust of lemon/citrus hop bittereness that lingers. Outstanding AIPA, one with such character, yet so drinakble. A fantastic pint at the brewpub, one to sip and savor, and to enjoy with the delicious brick oven pizzas served at Russian River. Well worth a trip out to Santa Rosa, CA to try.
