Smells good, some of that west coast. Very hoppy flavor and only slightly bitter. Probably too easy to drink. I think Russian River will have no problem selling beer in Colorado. I will buy it all.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 14, 2008 tap at the brewery. Nice gold color. Aroma is all piney hops. Hop is no overpowering and malty undercurrent matches it nicely. This is how a hoppy beer should taste. I could drink this all day. Another reason I wish I lived on the west coast. Aroma was perfect. Strong grassy hops fill the nose. One of the best aromas I’ve encountered in a beer. Pour was perfect as well. A nice light gold with a one finger off white head. A great IPA is truly pale. Light in color and this is just that. Taste was also great. Strong in the hops with little malt to muddy the water. Strong bitter hops that dry the mouth with strong grassiness with just a hint of citrus. Decent carbonation. Please CA people. Send me more!! dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2008 A- This beer had a huge 2 finger head right off the tap which seemed to get bigger as I drank it and left tons of lacing. It was a light orange color.
S- Smell was of piney hops with a small amount of a citrus kick. The hops smelled like the amazing scent of adding hops to a wort boil, almost no other IPA that i’ve had has recreated this smell
T- Taste was very hoppy for a standard ipa, with blended citrus notes. Sweet pine taste seemed to dominate followed by a rich grainy fullness.
M- Very crisp and carbonated but not as viscous as some of RR’s other offerings. Went down very smooth.
D- This beer was very drinkable. It did seem to me that it was stronger than 6 percent but none the less it went down fairly easy. MatSciGuy (639), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2009 [Bottle] brought back from S.F. Pours a bright orange with a medium fluffy beige head. Aroma is quite musty, with tons of grapefruit and tangerine. Flavor is still a bit musty, not too much malt, which lends to a quite dry mouthfeel. Bitterness grows as I drink it, and is a bit enhanced by the dry mustiness. mcmd (144), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
