| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2008 A- This beer had a huge 2 finger head right off the tap which seemed to get bigger as I drank it and left tons of lacing. It was a light orange color.
S- Smell was of piney hops with a small amount of a citrus kick. The hops smelled like the amazing scent of adding hops to a wort boil, almost no other IPA that i’ve had has recreated this smell
T- Taste was very hoppy for a standard ipa, with blended citrus notes. Sweet pine taste seemed to dominate followed by a rich grainy fullness.
M- Very crisp and carbonated but not as viscous as some of RR’s other offerings. Went down very smooth.
D- This beer was very drinkable. It did seem to me that it was stronger than 6 percent but none the less it went down fairly easy. MatSciGuy (640), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA

Aroma is quite musty, with tons of grapefruit and tangerine. Flavor is still a bit musty, not too much malt, which lends to a quite dry mouthfeel. Bitterness grows as I drink it, and is a bit enhanced by the dry mustiness. mcmd (144), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Huge aroma of pine, grapefruit, pineapple. Taste is a quick sweet malt initially then all hops- grapefruit, lemon, and piney resin, huge bitterness in the finish. A very solid ipa. On tap: light copper color with a aromatic scent of hops citrus, pine and with some caramel notes. Tate is the same not overdone on hops but very noticeable. I love this sort of robust, sharp pine hop profile where the hops start and coast through the finish. Very drinkable. Lagunitasfan (464), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 23, 2008 Quarter inch of off-white foam fell quickly to a thick creamy oil slick covering most of the top. Honey colored. I could smell the hops as I walked down the hall, holding the glass in front of me. Now as I sniff deeply, the sharpness is blended with a nice fruity odor. Blueberry? Constant flow of bubbles, like champagne. The lacy slick is actually strengthening as I type, staining the side of the pint glass when I pick up the brew. Sharp hoppy sharp. No fruity taste in that first drink. Long lingering aftertaste is toned but still bitter. I can feel it in my cheeks and gums and lips. As I continue I can start to pick up a bit o’ honey flavor. Sharp aftertaste still loiters long after the mouthfull is gone. Yummyyummyyummy. If you like the uberhoppy IPAs, you’ll probably like this one a lot. I do.
