Tap @ RR. Clear golden color, short head. Sharp piney hops, some fruit as well in aroma. Good malty body. Nice bitter palate. Great stuff.

bottled, many thanks to mwsf for bringing this to plzen. almost clear orange colour with a light off-white head. fantastic aroma of pine, mandarin, vanilla wafers, freshly-mown grass. plenty of grapefruit and pine flavours with some toffeed apple and a big burst of citric bitterness. excellent ipa!

Thanks to xmarcnolanx for sharing this gem. Pours golden orange with a whitish head. The aroma has lots of orange, grapefruit, light green onion and lightly toasted caramel malt. Medium resiny body with semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts like the aroma with some piny aspects. The taste is even more hop heavy than the aroma. The finish is bone dry with earthy hoppiness. A great IPA.

Bottled 500ml. -from City Beer Store, San Francisco. Orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, grapefruity hoppy nose. Piney hoppy and fresh citric with touch of spices. Pleasant bitter finish and long-lasting artertaste. Decent IPA.

GABF 2006: Clear amber color with an off-white head. Nice strong piney, resiny, grapefruit and earthy hop aroma that carries over to the flavor. The hops almost hide the caramel maltiness. Solid IPA.

This defines IPA for me. Can I just say that over and over and have that be my testament? What more can I really say? A description does not do justice what this does for my tongue and soul. Sampled by hand carried glass from Natalie as Vinne brewed and Dave Keen and Joe looked on, SaveTheAles pummeled hops and I grinned.

Courtesy of ygtbsm94. Thanks for sharing, Brad! Gold, foamy white head. Soft pine and grapefruit zest aromas ride a light foundation of toasty malt throughout. Bright bitter citric-pine flavors round with a touch of back end sweet malt. Has a light Pliny tone to it. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, moderately bitter finish. A very nice session IPA…

My Bottom Line:
A deft flock of crisp biscuity malts grazes the greenest hoppiness; its citrusy, floral, spicy and resinous crops provide a seemingly eternal string of bouquets for this quintessential West Coast IPA experience.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the hazy blond-beige.
-The hop profile is so eloquent and so engaging, it’s hard not to be attracted to.
-The long bitterness is quite sandy and redolent of the Simcoe variety.
-Although I greatly appreciate Pliny The Elder, I would drink a lot more Blind Pig if it were available to me.
-I like the fact that the malts are crisp and not too sweet; this increases drinkability and let’s the perfumy hops express themselves fully.

Bottle.
