Jul 4, 2009 Bottle from IrishBoy. Thanks! Just found this rating hidden in my ratings book. Pours a deep, thick, lively apricot orange with a nice white head. Aroma is sweet citrus tempered by a definite sour grapefruit and semi-sweet pine resin. Hints of orange juice in there as well. Flavor is a cornucopia of grapefruits, oranges, peaches, pine, and a touch of strawberry. Thick, lingering mouthfeel that simply sticks the flavors onto the tastebuds. I will never turn one of these down. Ever.

Dec 15, 2008 damn great ipa when on tap..the bottles...not so much...pretty much the definative ipa that is not a double.....super complex hoppy nose and tons of citrus and very drinkable!

Jan 16, 2009 500 ml 09/05/08 bottle in pint glass. Golden with lasting dense white head and lace. Pungent fresh orange citrus and a little pine aroma. Mild sweet honey biscuit with flowery hop flavor and piney resin bitterness. Medium body and carbo. Incredible balance, great flavor. This might be the perfect session beer.

Sep 5, 2008 Updated: Sep 21, 2008This is an outstanding IPA and among my favourites for the style. Its light golden amber with a small, off-white ehad that lasts and leaves some good lace. The aroma is strong grapefruit with plenty of grapes and a hint of white wine, hint of pine. it has a definite west coast IPA quality but with more body, range, malt, and juicy complexity. The taste is very juicy with grapefruit, but not too much, lemon, pine, a lot of apple and winey grape quality, bitter but with great flavour body and sweetness to carry it, and a dryish aftertaste.

Light amber color, tan head. Really sticky lace, looks appetizing.
Smells very juicy. Pine and citrus and fruit, great layering of different hops.
Full flavored, a ton of hoppiness. Succulent pine and citrus, grapefruit, spice, pale malt, nice bitterness level.
Smooth, good carbonation, extremely drinkable. Russian River really can’t do any wrong.

Sep 12, 2008 Updated: Oct 4, 2008Big thanks to zythum for the trade! This beer pours an orange color with a thick off-white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is really nice and hoppy with a pine scent, floral and citrusy. The flavor consists of a generous amount of piney hops with some citrus orange as well as a little lemon. Crisp bitterness and a bit dry in the finish. Nice malt backing too. This is terrific and can probably stand up to any IPA out there. Thanks again zythum! This was even better the second time I had it, if that’s possible.

Aug 18, 2009 On tap at the Rose and Crown. Smells AMAZING, hoppy with a touch of sweetness. Tastes great. There’s a great, full mouthfeel on this one. Russian River impresses me again.
