Sampled by hand carried glass from Natalie as Vinne brewed and Dave Keen and Joe looked on, SaveTheAles pummeled hops and I grinned. scraff (1942), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Soft pine and grapefruit zest aromas ride a light foundation of toasty malt throughout. Bright bitter citric-pine flavors round with a touch of back end sweet malt. Has a light Pliny tone to it. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, moderately bitter finish. A very nice session IPA… MartinT (5055), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

A deft flock of crisp biscuity malts grazes the greenest hoppiness; its citrusy, floral, spicy and resinous crops provide a seemingly eternal string of bouquets for this quintessential West Coast IPA experience.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the hazy blond-beige.
-The hop profile is so eloquent and so engaging, it’s hard not to be attracted to.
-The long bitterness is quite sandy and redolent of the Simcoe variety.
-Although I greatly appreciate Pliny The Elder, I would drink a lot more Blind Pig if it were available to me.
-I like the fact that the malts are crisp and not too sweet; this increases drinkability and let’s the perfumy hops express themselves fully.

It’s bitter and hoppy with notes of citrus and pine, and a very slight underlying sweet malt note. Medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry. Definately a beer I will be drinking more of. jgb9348 (2499), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Light copper coloured body with a thinnish off-white head. Potent hop aroma of floral and grapefruity hops and a very potent alcohol scent. Medium-bodied; Amazing bright hoppy flavour all with a good malt backbone and a very subtle fruity flavour. Aftertaste shows nothing but hop bitterness - NICE! Overall, a great IPA, definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this pint on draught at Toronado in San Francisco, California in March 2008. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

Bright citrus zest with some cinnamon and some sweet malts. Perfect with spicy food. rickgordon (3300), Göteborg, Sweden

Hazy golden colour, with low white head. Great aroma from dry-hopping, there is vanilla, grape and mandarines. Flavourwise an ultra-clean hop-juicy backbone from grapes and orange-peels. Well attenuated and really bitter. Medium bodied, and focused on the hops rather than the maltiness. Great beer! zathrus13 (1298), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA
