Sep 10, 2008 Pours from 500 ml bottle a light orange hue, forming a nice head of foam. Aroma strong of grapefruits, hops, pine resins, with field grass flowers. Flavour of the same, perfectly balanced, sticky mouth feel. Not exactly a hop bomb, but close enough to appreciate the balanced that RR has done in producing this fine beer. Hops, malts, in perfect harmony with one another, both bitter and somewhat sweet. Simply an unbelievable IPA, pure bliss with each lovely gulp. IPA lovers delight!

Nov 13, 2009 Bottle. Nice orange copper hue with a yellowish foamy head. Great aroma of piny and citrusy hops. I have had this many times and just got around to rating it. This is up there with my favorites despite the towering shadow that The Elder leaves over it. Fairly sticky and resiny, but extremely drinkable. Great citrus flavor with a solid malt keeps it fairly balanced. Finsih is Bitter, but not extremely bitter, with a touch of sweetness.

Oct 1, 2008 Stefanje you are the man. Thanks for this bottle. Wow what an amazing hop bomb! Golden pour with a white head. Aroma is citrus and pine. Some malts can be had in the nose, but the power of the hops takes over! And then the flavor...tastes like biting into a nice big chunk of grapefruit skin...also some pine notes in it. I could sit and live off the aroma of this beer for days...and the flavor is just plain amazing.

Dec 27, 2008 Growler from the brewpub. Pours a clear copper with a minimal white head. Super hopped aroma that is piney and citrusy with a nice malt back. Flavor is citrusy hop, then malt, then hop again on the finish. Amazing beer.

May 26, 2009 Pours a very light amber with nice single finger white head. Aroma is candy sweetness and funky pine hop notes. Taste is far milder than I had assumed it would be. Words almost fail me right now. This beer is perfectly balanced. Definitely not too bitter, as many IPA’s seem to be more bitter than hop flavor focused. Bitterness still accumulates the more you drink it, but that can’t really be avoided in an IPA. The hop flavors are perfectly balanced by a nice, crisp amber malt taste. Very refreshing. This is one nice IPA. I wish that I’d bought more.

Jul 18, 2009 Dark amber with fluffy white head. Extremey herby/woodsy and slightly fruity hoppy aroma. Nice bitter hop bite with overwhelming hop flavor. Tastes just like PLiny the Elder with a bite.

Mar 2, 2009 gold body with a white head, very hoppy, flavors are sweet, washy, not bad, but surprisingly, not great, finishes very bitter, a bit chilly, which is killing flavor and aroma.
