Nice crisp hop aroma, not overly sweet, herbal, gassy, dank, pineapple and lemon. Dry bitter flavor, slight sweet balance, bet lets hops dominate. Finishes clean and dry. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Aug 29, 2008 Pours a straw colored gold in color. About half a inch of head develops on the pour. Smell is very citrusy and juicy. Wonderful. Taste is even more citrusy and juicy hops than appear in the nose. Light, bitter, but exploding with juciness. I love this. It’s an overused expression, but, I could drink this all day long and never tire of it. I might even go out on a limb and say that I’m enjoying this more then the PtE. Would love to have this around regularly.
Many thanks to golubj for sending me this bottle. Rogueone (506), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA

I liked it better than Pliny for its character and drinkability. Very crisp citrus character with a pine underlay. Bitterness stings the tongue and then soothes it with a nice, round finish. A bit grassy, and malt-anemic as you’d expect from a West Coast IPA but I absolutely loved it. troopie (889), USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 12, 2008 Draught. Poured Golden citrusy gold. Floral hoppy aroma with notes of naartjies, pine and lemon. Full body with malt to keep it from being too hoppy, hoppy skin and muscle. Full lingering hop finish. chimplechamp (465), Oslo, Norway

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 30, 2008 bottle from South Bay Drugs. This is one of the best IPA I’ve had to date - simply outstanding. It almost drinks like a IIPA. There are massive piney hops that seep out of the bottle and glass. Pours a crisp golden with a nice 1/2’ white head. It looks and smells like pure hop juice. There are also some citrus notes across the palate with grapefruit coming forward the most. The pine and somewhat resin coated hops are predominant. Nice full body with incredibly fresh hops coating the mouth. Huge bitter finish that sticks with you for a while. Russian River knows hops and makes some damn good beer. shawnm213 (951), South Bend, Indiana, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Nov 6, 2007 Pours a clear burned orange with lively carbonation and big creamy head that dies into sheets of lacing. Holy moley the smell! Smells like a bag of the world finest reefer! Or big juicy piney hops! Taste is nothing but the finest hops, so juicy, so piney, so delicious! A little malty balance to make this a masterpiece. Medium in the mouth with good carbonation and an awesome bitter hop finish. Sessionable? I wish I had this on demand to session. Honestly the best IPA I’ve had to date
