sayravai (2992), Helsinki, Finland Apr 29, 2008 (Hand-bottled, thanks Esa K.) Clear amber with a small, bright white head. Very crisp, lemony-piney aroma. Crisply aromatic-hoppy, pine-resiny flavor with some exotic fruitiness. Very dry and bitter mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Nicely drinkable for the amount of hops. Like the first batches of Severin, but without the cat-pee, and even drier and more bitter.
Hank1980 (324), Athens, Georgia, USA Jul 17, 2008 On tap at RR. Poured amber witha big white head. Aroma of hops, pine and citrus. Taste is of piney resinous hops, with a little citrus and caramel. Quite a bit different from their other IPA/IIPA’s. Finishes bitter. Mouth is a moderately bodied. A nice IPA.
Bhops (158), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 14, 2008 tap at the brewery. Nice gold color. Aroma is all piney hops. Hop is no overpowering and malty undercurrent matches it nicely. This is how a hoppy beer should taste. I could drink this all day. trokini (813), San Diego, California, USA Jul 14, 2008 Tap @ O’Brien’s. Pours clear gold with a nice white head. Floral hop aroma, some pine, and just a little grapefruit. Sharp hop taste up front, resin flavors dominating the citrus, with a caramel back. Overall, a great IPA with strong hop flavors but with a light body. rayOfBeer (192), El Cerrito, California, USA Jul 13, 2008 Poured on tap at Marin Brew Breast Fest a blond-amber with large white head. Huge aroma of floral hops, pine and citrus. Flavor is dry with pine resin, gratefruit, and the lingering bitterness of the floral hop resin. The floral and bitter hops overwhelm most of the malt mouthfeel and have little to no sweetness to balance. This was a good IPA but I’ll stick with the Pliney’s if I have a choice. Snojerk321 (879), San Diego, California, USA Jul 12, 2008 On tap @ Tornado San Diego. Pours a clear golden yellow with a 2 finger white head. Bursting with floral and citrus hop aromas. A perfect balance between malt and hops on this one....well......maybe a bit heavier on the hops.....lol.
