Dec 10, 2009 Backlog. Got a small sample of this after it was realized what was supposed to be Compunction in fact wasn’t Compunction at all @ DLD. Light yellow with a white head. Aroma of sour, peachskin, plum, vinous notes and oak. Flavors of sour plum/pit fruit, oak and dry malt. Light body sour/dry finish.

May 26, 2008 Tap at DLD. Cloudy golden yellow. Smell of sour lemon, grapes, tart cherries and barn. The taste was of tart fruit, sour lemon candies and grapefruit zest. Wonderful guest brew at DLD.

May 10, 2008 hazy yellow/orange with a larger white billowey head. Quite nice aroma, sour nose with some yeast and fruit. Damn this tastes great, soft on the palate with a sourness that gently rolls over tounge. Nice soft fruit with some high acidity. Lots of balance put into this beer. Really enjoyable.

Apr 27, 2008 8oz pour at DLD 08. Highly anticipated beer. Pours cloudy dark yellow/orange with a small white head. Aroma is nice and funky. Acetic, vinegar-like qualities of a good Flemish sour balanced with a nice shot of brett, fresh peach and all around funky sourness. Really nice aroma. Taste is tart, sour, slight oak and white wine with a very dry, cidery finish. The sourness is significant but certainly not overly intense(though honestly I wouldn’t have minded if it was). This succeeds on a whole bunch of levels. Super flavorful and complex yet thirst quenching and even sessionable. This was better than I thought it’d be. I would give a lot to have access to this on a regular basis.

Apr 26, 2008 Real Ale at Dark Lord Day 08. Pours a cloudy blonde color. Smells like grapefruit. Tastes like an atomic sour candy in beer form. Has a sour aroma, sour taste (from the front to the back), and leaves a sour aftertaste. I love it!

May 7, 2008 I had on DLD and i love sours and this was awesome it poured a yellow and had a fuzzy look with a bittersweet ending with a lot of citrus and other fruity flavors and tart overall a good beer.CHEERS!!

Apr 21, 2008 Drank this at the brewery. This is admittedly lower than many scores because the style just wasn’t working for me. It was an innovative brew with plenty of flavor and character but the astringent quality of that much sour wasn’t all that appealing for me. Kudos for the craftsmanship, but not to my taste.
