It poured a slightly hazed golden body with a slender fizzy head. The aroma was yeasty, sweet pale malts, tart citrus fruit, mayhaps some pear, and a suggestion of oak. Creamy. It seems like a touch of funk and a bit of vanilla entered into the flavor, blending smoothly with sensations gathered from the nose. Very nice indeed.

Pours a hazy gold body with a fizzy white head that retained very well. Nice yeasty nose with airy doughy malt. Flavor is pale doughy malt with a little bretty funkiness and a little oak, citrus fruit, and spiciness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with fizzy prickly carbonation, on the drier side. Overall, a slight improvement over the regular Damnation, a touch more complexity and depth. after4ever (2762), Brier, Washington, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Many thanks to Eclectic for this bottle. Pours out a slightly cloudy/ slightly clear orangy/amber color. Aroma is of oak, vanilla and some fruity notes, mainly sweet apple. Taste is complex, a fruity sweetness starts off and fades into a nice vanilla, oak flavor. Some Candi sugar going on in there and some other sweet fruit notes. Slight earthy oak flavor on the finish with a very slight alcoholic note. Other than the finish the alcohol is very well hidden, making this a very smooth beer.
