Commercial Description:
We turned our regular Damnation recipe into a Tripel. It is bittered with Tomahawk and has Sterling and Cascade in the mid-boil and finish. The beer was then aged on new American oak chips for two to three weeks.

Bottle shared at Madness. Pours a very hazy gold that leans towards a slight touch of brown with a small white bubbly head. Slight notes of wood, sour, funkiness and some lemon zest. Medium bodied with a very dry finish. Flavors of yeast, bread, and a slight touch of wood. Pretty good stuff, very well hidden alcohol.

750 shared at YEHA- Great appearance, very hazy golden in color with a medium sized off white head. Aroma is quite strong- with plenty of musty yeast, phenolics, light notes of banana, and spices. Taste: fruit: banana, light pear, spicy, funky belgian yeast, candi sugar, light oak. Pretty good, but the part I didn’t enjoy was the fact that it was a bit alcoholic, and not as drinkable as some of my favorite tripels- Allagash, St Bernardus, etc. If this was a percent and a half lower, I think I would have enjoyed it alot more.

C-bus 10. Thanks to bgburdman for sharing. Strong caramel malt aroma with belgian yeast. Golden color with a light head. Full palate. Nice caramel malt flavor with plenty of belgian candi sugar and spices. Interesting brew, but not my cup of tea.

2007 PP SAF Bottle brought by JohnC, many thanks! : Hazy golden hue with a fizzy head and some lace. The aroma is funky and cheesy, cherry and apricot esters, grassy and herbal, woody, hint of caramel. The taste has a nice balance of funk and citric acid along malty and yeasty base. A touch of honey and clove as well. The mouth feel is sprite and lively, very refreshing with a dry finish. A real winner, big but not over the top. A must try!

PP Strong Ale Fest 07, another killer bottle shared by JohnC. Pours cloudy yellow with a 1 finger bright white head. Nose is amazing, silly levels of citrus here. Tatse is super fantastic. Sweet, well rounded killer killer triplel, if they all tasted like this I’d love the style more, prob my favorite of this style I’ve ever had.
