Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Nice lemon and citrus aromas with a nice soft malty wheat back to it. Thick bodied and sweet with honey, citrus, sweet fruit, and malt notes. Tangy crisp finish. I was very happy to have gotten to sample this one, and it lived up to my expectations quite well. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Still very cloudy and bright gold. It still has all the tropical flavors that I expect from a tripel and it is rather mellow but not very woody. Still very solid. I heart regular Damnation, and I had long wondered if this experiment would complement or undermine the great beer. Definitely the former! As a tripel, it retains its sharp and yeasty qualities. There are more sweet flavors in there for sure, at times even slightly intense, leading to a somewhat boozy finish. But somehow that works, especially when combined with the oak and spice presence. Nice! ucusty (1908), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Cloudy bright gold pour with a fluffy white head and spotty lace. Lemon, yeast, and spice. Medium bodied with notable hints citrus, candi sugar and light alcohol. Oak was not as prominent as I hoped, but still a solid offering emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

The nose is yeasty, peppery, fruity, oaky, mildly tannic. Flavor is yeasty, peppery, nice and spicy, citrusy, mild bitterness, oaky tannic feel. Prefer the original to this. Still nice though. Not much oak comes through though. marcus (1896), Sacramento, California, USA

There is a sweet caramel malt flavor and some nice effects from the yeast. The hopping balanced the sweetness, creating a quite delicious mouthful. Yet another great beer from this brewer. snakeoilpete (324), Seattle, Washington, USA

Nose is candy sugar, spicy yeast, and oak. Taste is similar, but with more caramel and a little tobacco. The oak wasn’t as big as I had hoped. Mouthfeel is nice; finish is bitter and slightly smoky.
