Herbal. I didn’t like this much. Maybe its because I’m liking the clove phenol less and less. sebletitje (2000), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Bottle. A rich golden color with a big foamy white head. The aroma has definite oak chips (wood) on the otherwise nice Belgian tripel base (lemon, banana and cloves). Dry, candy sugars, spiced, and light fruits in the flavor. badlizard (2394), Berkeley, California, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 5, 2009 On tap at brewery. This beer was damn good. Like the regular damnation but strong oak and a still surprisingly hoppy taste. SDalkoholic (1198), Chula Vista, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 4, 2009 Bottle from O’Brien’s: Created a firm layer of fluffy head which eventually retreated into an O shaped ring. Dense color of golden liquid with a slight murky appearance. Aroma detected was a strong strain of Belgian yeast and spices which ultimately satisfied the nose. Flavor was strong with the usual suspects accompanied with Belgian yeast but an ever present background of wood chips, tart cherries and perhaps a chardonnay wine finished with an interesting taste compared to the original version.
