If your a fan of Belgian beers this one will not disappoint. My bottle was a year old and had some yeast sediment in the bottle but damn that aids in the bottle conditioning and this one is not one to shy away from at all. I recommend trying all the RR goods. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Tastes like a solid Belgian Golden Strong. If I’d tasted this blind, I’d never have guessed it was a US beer, although there’s slightly more banana than one usually gets from any Belgian beer I’ve had. Tasty, moreish, but not mind blowing. My rating probably reflects my high expectations based on other RR beers. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Bottle, from Argonaut in Denver, shared with AJO and Traci Rae at the "We Got Door" Tasting. Pale yellow, lots of clean white head with some good stick. Nose of raw almonds, honey, seaweed. Lots cool sweet fruit flavor, pears, white table grapes, a bit of resiny bitterness. Soft, fairly full. Very pleasant and full of good things, but lacking a certain something in cohesiveness. WisconsinBeer (521), St Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Bottle. Batch 045. Pours a golden sunshine yellow color, with a soft foamy head. Flavor is juicy fruit - banana and pear, initially soft and then a bit tart. Not as bready as most Belgians. Finish is dry and a bit astringent, somewhat citrus like hops. Medium bodied, very fizzy carbonation. This is a damn fine beer. Tripplebrew (493), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA

Pours a golden copper yellow with very very thick white head. Aroma is lemon yeast, sugar and spice (pepper and peach). Flavor is definitely brown sugar squash with citrus/lemon notes. Definite sweet pear notes. Body is creamy light with quite high carbonation. glennmastrange (857), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 18, 2009 Updated: Apr 26, 2009Bottle. Light hay note for the malt, moderate hops and yeast aromas of lemon and barnyard, with hints of banana, white wine and clove. Head is fizzy, white with fair lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling clear (until the last pour which hazes it up a bit) gold. Flavor is heavily acidic to start, and finishes moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is light, dry with a fizzy carbonation and finishes lightly dry. A nice Belgian Strong, refreshing and complex. captaincass (45), Everson, Washington, USA
