| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Bottle into chalice, batch 041. Pours hazy gold, with an effervescent white head. Nose is yeasty, a bit of pear and apricot, with a creamy sweetness underneath. Flavor is front-loaded with a big yeast presence – tangy and a bit dry, with golden fruit notes coming out again. Finish dries up a bit more, some more yeast, some alcohol esters as well. Mouthfeel is smooth and soft, but with a bit of crispness, medium bodied. Really nice beer – one of those that gets better the farther into the bottle you get. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Color is a bright gold with good carbonation and a small white head. Aroma is a fruity Belgian yeast scent with a faint skunk note in the back. Taste is smooth, fruity and spicy. Starting with a light/medium body it goes down smooth. Finish comes in with a fruity taste that is almost peach like with vanilla and yeast notes then a hint of coriander and clove. After taste is clean with just a touch of bitterness. Overall I think its a great Belgian style Golden Ale. robforbes (1105), Bremerton, Washington, USA
