Pours a rich hay color from the bomber with a firm white head and plenty of sediment. Loaded with yeast, citrus, and faint cream. Heartier, and certainly more aggressive, than it looks. Well done. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 3, 2008 Thanks to Unrulythings. The aroma is yeasty and sweet with light fruit, malt, and cloves. The appearance is golden with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. A winner. PhillyHomeBrew (176), Forest Hills, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 2, 2008 Yeasty citrusy aroma. The flavor is light and doughy with a tiny bubble gum flavor and a lot of orange peel. Unfortunately I was sick when rating this. dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2008 2 year old giant bottle opened at Hamilton’s 2nd Anniversary party. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Aroma is sweet, of malt and yeast, with a hint of sour lemons. Mellow taste, of malt and sweet, preserved lemons. Lingering malt flavors. Had maybe mellowed too much, but still quite tasty. drjay44 (814), Salida, Colorado, USA

Pours a thin head, good duration, lacing comes in later.....nose of yeast, spice, lighter fruits, including grapefruit lots of phenols and esthers....tastes of malts, banana, grapefruit on the finish....carbonated mouth feel. It becomes sweet on the finish as it warms. I like better than Duvel. fredandboboflo (1417), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 31, 2008 Bottle, batch 42. Aroma a delectable blend of sweet and tart citrus notes, orange, lemon, lemon zest, things of that nature, all citric. Flavor was more of a typical Belgian strong for me with a yeasty character and duller citrus notes. Great aroma, good otherwise. LilBeerDoctor (1530), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 30, 2008 Bottle, batch 41. Pours a cloudy deep orange with a small white head. Aroma of sweet melon, light fruits, and prickly spices. Flavor of tart citrus, lemon, melon, and light bitter hops. Nice mouthfeel- not as astringent and harsh as some Belgians. Nice BSA.
