Commercial Description:
In the great beer producing country of Belgium, some brewers have made it a tradition to give their beers an unusual name. Sometimes the name is curious, now and then it is diabolical and other times it is just plain silly. Damnation is our brewmaster’s interpretation of a Belgian style Strong Golden Ale. It has extraordinary aromas of banana and pear with mouth filling flavors of sweet malt and earthy hops. The lingering finish is dry and slightly bitter but very, very smooth.

From C&C 750. Clear orange hued pour with a light white head. Nose is lightly fruity, with hints of white wine. Robust flavor follows the nose. Dry, smooth finish. Palate is nicely carbonated. Commercial description is spot on.

Pours a clear golden yellow color with a fluffy medium white head, quite a bit of carbonation. Aroma of citrus, spice, and yeast. Dry finish, quite bitter.

(On tap - Toronado) Hazy golden with a small, creamy, off-white head. Distinct aroma of yeast. Medium body, surprisingly light in body with some tartness. Distinct accents of yeast. The finish is dry and bitter. Very Belgian albeit very dry. 250307

Bottle sampled with stegosaurus. Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a lacy white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast, and some spices. Flavor was notes of fruits and alcohol warmth with a nice bittered finish.

Bottle shared with lukin. Outstanding aroma, really bready with pure rich wheat, golden lanes of barley dripping with pear-infused dew and mellow lemon zest. Sadly, the sublime ride on the cloud of baking bread dough only strikes in the nose. Once you bite in, you find only a shred of its former self. This beer really could be among the best in the world if only its flavor could match the brilliance of its aroma.

This stuff pours out golden with a very nice thick head. Aroma is sweet hay with some light fruity smells comming out and a bit of spice to finish the sniff. Taste is awesome with a nice full doughy flavor followed by bananas, malty sweetness, and spices. The finish is with a decent smack of hops which is awesome because sometimes I have trouble tasting any hops in this style due to the overall sweetness of the style. So, that was a nice welcome surprise. Mouthfeel is very smooth, great brew!

Another good beer by Russian River. Not my favorite style, so I didn’t give it a great rating, but a good Belgium Triple. Good nose as the bottle says of banana and pear and also corriander, and little hops. Good mediu, head that stays and stays, a little too long. Pale color in the style. Smooth flavor, slight bitter.

Nice fruity flavors and floral overtones. Easy to drink and pretty pleasant brew.
