skoisirius (473), Seattle, Washington, USA May 22, 2008 2005 vintage tasted on 5/17/08 thanks to derkruk and crew! I’ve also tasted this brew fresh. Mellowing out a bit on the hops and gathering a nicely rounded out malt flavor is what 2.5 - 3 years will do to this Belgian style pale. Fully carbonated still, and sliding smoothly across the palate, the flavors of dry fruit and hops, spices and malts continue to explode with joy as they go down the gullet. It’s worth the wait!
SuzyGreenberg (934), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 27, 2008 750 ml bottle @ liquid sunshine - thanks to explosivebeer; now, i just love this beer but as it has made it’s way to some Seattle taps recently, it can be a little hit and miss; not sure if it benefits from being in the bottle as opposed to the keg; either way, bright gold with slight haze and tick, white head; big aromas of yeast, lemons, some spice; rich in flavors and texture; just a delightful beer to drink; probably the only drawback is it makes you drool as you can help but think of batch #23
ghawener (679), San Salvador, El Salvador Aug 25, 2008 Drank with ramenen & rsamayoa. Bottle: Well crafted, highly complex and extremely well balanced. Instant favorite. aplusbreaks (44), , Colorado, USA Aug 24, 2008 Pours a clear/gold color with a nice white head. Aromas of bananas, citrus and honey. Flavors include all of the above with a nice spicy addition. Smooth, easy to drink, ABV well hidden. JohnnyJ (654), Reno, Nevada, USA Aug 23, 2008 On tap at Toronado. Pour is a clear gold with white head. Nice and refreshing for the alcohol percent. Citrus, grapefruit, floral hops, banana, and tropical fruit. Hints of spice. Nice easy to drink belgian style beer. EHopper (118), Minnesota, USA Aug 22, 2008 Tasted on vacation in CA. Nice golden color with white head. Lemon and malt aroma. Light banana baby food taste, with a little grass. Pretty simple, pretty good.
