Big thanks to BBB63 for sharing this growler. Aroma is light and malty with some floral notes and a small hint of barnyard. Pale yellow-gold in color with a huge white head. Flavor is mostly a simple, citrusy pale malt with a touch of light sourness and a crisp finish. I found this to be very drinkeable, a really high-end lawnmower beer that is interesting and refreshing to drink.

Thanks Mike very much for bringing and sharing this cool looking growler of beer to the DL 2006 tasting. The beer poured to a glossy golden body with a nice foamy white head. The aroma is delicately balanced. Like a great saison. Brettanomyces character is light. Vinous. Lemon rind. The palate is spicy, medium-bodied, very refreshing. I thought it was Bam Biere-ish. I had a sample earlier in the day. The similarities were surprising.

Growler: Courtesy of BBB63 at the Hampton Inn Tasting (Saturday). Floral with some mild brett and sweet tart aroma. Pours a bright transparent golden-orange with a large white head that lasts a minute of so. Floral and lightly fruity with a mild brett sourness in the background. Lightly vinous with a hint of wood in the finish. Someone mentioned it reminded them of JP Bam Biere and I can see the similarities.

Thanks to whoever brought this. It was my first experience with Russian River and hopefully not my last. Hints of white bread and bananas combined with the typical Belgian characteristics. The cloudy yellow body had a lively carbonation and giant head. Spices came out in the taste, prodominately pepper and corriander. Somewhere I also picked up buttered pecan blended with bananas. Finishes very smooth and sweet with great overall balance.

On draught at the Brickskeller: Pours to a lightly hazy glowing golden colored body with a medium frothy white head. The aroma has some light fruit, floral and lightly spicy hops, along with hints of sweet malt, lemon, and some mild funk. The taste has some floral/grassy hop flavors, earthy pale malt, with some tartness showing up in the form of brett, lemon, and some tannic oak barrel that reminds me very much of the oak flavors from Temptation (tannins, dry white wine, woody, lasting oak flavors). Medium bodied, yet managing to feel very crisp and fluffy in the mouth, moderate carbonation, finishes lightly tart with extended floral hop and oak notes.
