(Batch 001 375ml Bottle) At hospitable Enniskillen’s RR Batch 001 Party. Dissipated, white head rests to the edges with an actively carbonated, orange amber body. Nose of sweet zinfandel wine, sour grapes and strong green apples. Almost gueuze flavour, nice brett front. Excellent stuff.

this one had a nice champagne like quality. nice carbonation plus the added flavor of the white grapes and oak. however, that aded fun of the brett and other bugs sets it apart and takes it above and beyond any champagne i would drink. just such a great beer...i can wait til pliny is making RR tons of money so vinnie can keep brewing up these delicious sours.

this was one of the highlights of my night, golden color a bit cloudy, thin white head, nose reminds me of champagne, with a good citrus punch. flavor is interesting slightly sour dusty, you can get the grapes and some hop citrus finish. dry finish and really enjoyable.

Poured into a Duvel tulip. Appearance is a dark peach color with a hint of pink, very interesting. 2 finger white head of champagney bubbles. No retention or lace, appropriate for the wininess of this beer. Nice champagne scent. Tart grapes, vague vinegar, brett. Excellent tart taste, a beautifully sour, reminiscent of champagne. Barnyardy, bandaidy, all the crazy brett tastes that make RR beers so unique. Delicious. Despite the fizzy head, the carbonation isn’t disruptive at all, in fact it’s pretty perfect. Medium alcohol level, refreshingly tart. Smooth and pleasant. This beer’s rarity isn’t the only reason I wish I had more. It’s a great concoction by the RR guys.

This is my other favorite style besides IPS and STOUTS.This was a hazy golden color with a small white head and had a nice tartness to it.I do not know why i like sours so much but they are the on the other end of my favorite style and thats life,it had a fruity sourness to it but it was great and at 7% i was a little surprised to see it that strong .CHEERS!

Cloudy orange pour with no head. Very good aroma of oak barrell, fruits, sourness and wild yeast. The flavor is very good with its funky, sour, fruity combo with an oak barrell feeling. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and soft carbonation.

Thanks to turdferguson for letting me try a few ounces of this. It had been open in the fridge for a while so it had lost its carbonation and my rating reflects this. Pours a hazy golden with no head and the aroma is very acidic, sour, sweet, vinous. The flavor is sour, acidic, slightly vinous, and a little flat (obviously from being open). Glad to get to try this one.
