750ml bottle, caged and corked. Pours hazy, deep golden color. thick white head. Aroma of God like tart sourness. I’ve been drinking Imperial Stouts all night, this blows them all away. Tart flavor goes azll the way over the top!. Wow!

filmy lace with a short-lived head, ruby-orange color. cassis and sour cherry aroma with some vinegar. lots of sour in the taste desolves into a dark red fruit linger. sourness makes the palate feel fuller. perfectly fine, but a bit too much sour for my tastes. ---- re rate at 2009 Sour Fest ------ Pours a clear orange with slight lacing and a bubbly head. The aroma is heavy on sour apple but not oppressive. The taste is just more sour apples with a palate that reminds me of cider champagne with a touch more sour. It still seems overrated to me.

Bottle from 5000. Rating #1600. Hazy pale, peach body with a medium-sized white head that fades to a lasting cover. Big, funky citrus nose with lots of grapefruit, lemon, cheese, horseblanket and cobwebs. Moderately sour, lightly sweet taste with pithy, citrus rinds, yogurt, melon, light cotton candy and apples. Medium body is round with moderate carbonation. Finish is long with a lasting acidity and a pithy bitterness. This is bringing back memories of Cable Car and Cuvee de Castleton. Lovely!

Bottle (via trade with 5000). Poured cloudy bronze, capped with a moderate sized white head. Beautiful aroma - primarily tart, with nuances of oak, citrus (especially orange), apricot, leather and wild yeast. On the palate, funky barnyardy flavors interact nicely with fruit flavors like orange rind, apricot, and lemon. The complex flavor is further complimented by notes of wild yeast, wood, leather, and earthy herbs. Dry, sour finish. The beer is incredibly drinkable; it’s satisfies my love of sourness, but it doesn’t take the acidity over the top. Another world-class wild ale from RR. Thanks for the trade, André!!!

Insanely layered in it’s complexity. From initial nose to finish, the textures are incredible. Cellar floor and wet cedar come to the nose initially. Highly acidic without relying too much on funk. Mild horse blanket and barnyard notes come to the fore as the beer opens. Faint phenolic notes emerge the longer the beer sits and warms. The pour is a muddy bright caramel with a thin ring of a white head. Near bracing in it’s acidity. Massive tartness with a gueuze-like band aid finish. Loads of wet wood and tart grape tannin all over the palate. Slightly antiseptic and medicinal. Funky and acidic as all get out. Very tart and dry. Acidic fruit rind. Wow. Dusty cellar. Lush and creamy with spritzy, lively and not too overbearing carbonation. The finish lasts forever with notes of basement, dust, rubber and boatloads of structured tannins. One hell of a beer. Foggy amber with a thin white head. Aroma is a lemon sourness, sour cherries, brett, brown sugar. Taste is a nice sourness, lemon, grapefruit, cherries, and caramel.
