Bottle courtesy of goldtwins (HUGE THANKS!). Poured a very hazy orange color, very little carbonation and nice sour apple funk aroma. Flavor was yeast, then rolled into acidic lemon and then finished with a nice sour funk that lingered on and on. Just amazing, probably one of the best sours I’ve had so far.

On tap at Brouwer’s Sour Fest. Pours clear dark reddish orange with a nice white head. Aroma is tart cherry and apple with a slight cheesy funk. Tastes similar with a little caramel malty sweetness poking through. Very smooth with a tart honey finish.

Draft at Sourfest 2009 at Brouwer’s. Pours a nice amber orange with a bubbly white head that fades quickly. Aroma hits with sour bread and gewurtztraminer with citrus becoming more pronounced with warming. Initally sour but sweet citruis comes through as it warms. Medium boddy with good carbonation and a tasty lingering sourness. Great beer.

Bottle thanks to 5000: Pours a slightly hazy orange bronze with a thin-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly-sweet toasty biscuity malts and an assertive fresh tart oakiness and some leathery funk. Body starts with decent fullness and a touch of lightly sweet caramel and cherries with a puckering, drier oaky earthy finish. Has some warming tartness toward the finish. Assertive, yet enjoyable. Another winner from Russian River.

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy almost murky coppery orange and a foamy fizzy beige head with cobwebby lace. Aroma is funked out brett- tons of old wood, light oak, cherry pit- and almond fruity raisin, and almost a lemony citrus hint. Funky brett and pedio flavor - orange zest, toasted malts, nuts and light sweetness, almost briney and salty- goaty stinky cheese- dark tart cherries and cherry pit astringency in the end along with a nice acidic sour finish. Another winner from RR.

Got this at some place in Seattle when I was there. Sour to a point but not nearly as sour as I was expecting. The other flavours were very light and balanced the sour out very nicely. Very special beer.

Courtesy Oakes and Beershine. Copper with a bit of off white foam. Barn funk, tart acidity, tree resin, and citric notes on top of a soft, lightly bready grain base. Medium body, just a bit more carbonated than balanced, but it works with the flavor profile. Excellent.
