Bottle thanks to 5000: Pours a slightly hazy orange bronze with a thin-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly-sweet toasty biscuity malts and an assertive fresh tart oakiness and some leathery funk. Body starts with decent fullness and a touch of lightly sweet caramel and cherries with a puckering, drier oaky earthy finish. Has some warming tartness toward the finish. Assertive, yet enjoyable. Another winner from Russian River.

750ml bottle. Pours a hazy almost murky coppery orange and a foamy fizzy beige head with cobwebby lace. Aroma is funked out brett- tons of old wood, light oak, cherry pit- and almond fruity raisin, and almost a lemony citrus hint. Funky brett and pedio flavor - orange zest, toasted malts, nuts and light sweetness, almost briney and salty- goaty stinky cheese- dark tart cherries and cherry pit astringency in the end along with a nice acidic sour finish. Another winner from RR.

DLD and shared by a generous soul, Sprinkle. Thanks as well for the other pours that day too! the more I have of Russian River, the more I love that brewery! The aroma.......wow. Perfectly balanced acidity and funk with a light oak compliment. Just the right amount of fruit along for the ride. Alot of things about this remind me of compunction. Layers of complexity throughout. Such a great Spring beer!

Bottle.

Before I begin: when I saw the 6.83% ABV printed on the label I thought "wow, all this for a low alcohol beer." If 6.83% is low alcohol, I don’t know what that says about the state of American craft brewing.

In any case: The beer pours a hazy maize with a small head of microbubbles. Before I even pour I can smell beautiful ripe peaches in the air, enough to make laugh aloud. I pour the beer, and inhaling get all those peaches along with a lovely tart aroma, lime peel and brett, not a richly funky beer so much as a bretty one. Considerable spiciness as well, like a pumpkin pie doused in lime juice. Glorious flavor. Richly sour, tons of brett, spice, all of that peach, plenty of lemon, not too aggressively sour just splendidly drinkable. A lovely smoothness on the mouth, lactic, melted sorbet. Beautiful beer, plenty of brett character, enjoyable and rich through the full 22oz.

Backlog. Yellow orange pour with an off white head. Aroma of sour fruits, brett, horse blanket, bit of vinegar and malt. Flavor was cheesy malt, sour, bretty, oaky, barnyard notes. Light body with a sour finish.

Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to Turdferguson for sharing this total gem! An absolutely beautiful tart fruit aroma starts this one off, with a full, slightly cloudy amber pour. White grape flavors mingle with pleasing musky notes, leading up to a long dry finish with dark cherries and oak. In some ways, it’s very continuous with Sanctification, with some slight additions to that sweet beer’s profile in order to give this one a distinct character. It’s yet another awesome beer from Vinnie. Thanks again, Sam!!!

750ml bottle. Thanks to miketd for sharing. Aroma: Cherries (both fruit and pits), grapes, cheese, slight barnyard, lemon, oak, and floral. Tartness in the aroma a sign of things to come. Appearance: Golden/orange in color and slightly hazed. White head was small and foamy with good retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: Light malt sweetness gives way to funk and tart. Really tart. Lemon, orange, cherries, green grapes, slight cheese, dusty/barnyardy, oak, and floral. Really dry finish with a mineral note in the aftertaste. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: I drank this and Isabelle Proximus in the same night, and I can’t pick a favorite from the two. They’re both delicious.

80th rating of this beer kind of an early 1600th rating. 750 via trade with Suzy Suzy Suzy Suzy Suzy Suzygreenberg. 3 birds one stone, top 50, another sour rating and sharing this my pal Kaitlyn who really likes sours, so hell yeah. Also shared with her boyfriend Adam. and my girlfriend Cyn. Ok onto the beer, orange pour with an off white head. Nose is bretty and oaky and sour. Taste is very acidic with a gueze like funk, funky on the front end. Really nice mouth feel. I love santification so this makes sense why this is so good.
