MullMan (1079), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA May 4, 2007 on tap at the Toronado RR -tion night. thick creamy white head, body is hazy yellow gold. aroma is heavy brett, a little moldy & funky. flavor is band aids, grassy dry malt, light dry white wine, brett, and vinyl. very full flavored saison. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA Apr 27, 2007 On tap at Toronado. This blonde ale poured with a massive fluffy white head, eliciting an acidic aroma. The brett is noticeable, but not overwhelming, lending a unique sour characteristic to the otherwise traditional saison flavor. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA Oct 9, 2006 Very un-saison like saison. Much more delicate than is typical. Reminded me of a big Wit. Lots of banana and pear notes with a citrus and spice follow on. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA Jul 7, 2006 Draft. Pour is hazy and very Belgian Wit looking with a frothy white head. Yeasty aroma with banana notes. Spicy flavor with a bready maltiness. Lingering banana aftertatse. Enjoyed with mussels in a garlic broth. This was a meal I’ll rememeber for some time to come. droopy49 (97), Lancaster, California, USA Jun 1, 2006 On tap at the RR brewpub 5/27/06. This poured a hazy yellow color with a decent white head. Aroma is fruity with some spice and sourness. Tart flavor with some fruity notes initially followed by a nice citrus, slighty sour aftertaste. This would be great on a warm summer day. Very drinkable, Vinnie could piss in a paper cup and it would win a medal. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA Mar 8, 2006 Draft at brewpub. Arrived at the table a hazed light yellow color with a small white head that left stringy lacing. Faint aroma, citric and sour apples. Flavor again is sour apples, citric and a little funky, puckering lemon and herbal notes as well. Crisp carbonation, medium body and refreshing to drink. IrishBoy (2685), Bakersfield, California, USA Feb 28, 2006 On tap at the pub. Gold with a white head. Spicy aroma with sweet friuty taste. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Feb 17, 2006 "Poured a hazy golden color with a thin head, didn’t lace much. Aroma was barnyardy and sour, not very good. Taste was better then aroma, malts and light fruits. Refreshing."
