SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 27, 2008 draft @ brewery - served in a goblet; light orange with thin haze; aromas of honey, mild hops, grass, wood and bread; flavors are mild too, but this is a sweet, delicate beer and i really enjoyed; not too sweet and flavors mostly of grass, lemons and honey; a very nice change of pace from the rest of the menu BrotherGrendel (545), San Diego (La Jolla), California, USA Aug 12, 2008 On draft at Toronado SF. Appearance is a bright translucent hardy yellow hue, layer of dense white head sustains, moderate lacing. Smell is honey, floral hops, light fruits (pears, apples, apricots, berries), earthy/grassy tones, bread malts, flowers and spices. Taste is light fruits and berries up front, underlying layer of sweet honey and floral (violet?) highlights, spices, faint hints of sweet bread, finishes sweet.
Palate is medium-bodied, smooth and creamy texture, moderate carbonation
Overall, a unique ale with the most floral character I have ever experienced, light and punchy overall, holds my interest but not enough for a repeat. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Jul 18, 2008 Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head.Floral, light spice aroma. Floral, light malt, light spice, honey flavors. Medium-light body. Sweet, floral, honey, and light spice linger. Hank1980 (732), Athens, Georgia, USA Jul 17, 2008 On tap at RR. Poured cloudy gold with a small white head. Aroma of light yeast, floral notes, honey. Taste is lightly malted with some mild spice and sweetness. Mouth on this is very watery. Finish is very weak. Bhops (329), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 14, 2008 tap at the brewery. Nice aroma of yeast, honey and flowers, with taste to match. Pretty smooth drinker. hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA Jul 11, 2008 Pretty interesting beer. Has a bit of a flowery aroma, but there’s something else in there that my wife enjoyed but couldn’t put her finger on it. It’s just lightly aromatic and enjoyable. It’s kind of a cloudy orange and depending upon the pour the head is either really large or almost non-existent. This ends up being a really nice summer beer, light on flavour, but what is there is nice. has some flowery notes and is a little bready with some hops in the finish. This finishes sharply and leaves only a small hint of dry aftertaste. Naven (862), Poway, California, USA Jul 7, 2008 On tap @ brewery. Supposedly, this is brewed with Spices and flowers, although I didn’t really detect much of anything. A decent ale for sure, but not really up to RR standards. A pretty good lawnmower beer, I suppose.
