| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 25, 2008 Tasted at the May Northern California Beer Tasting. This is the version brewed at Russian River by Vinnie and Agostino. This spiced beer poured a slightly hazy light orange gold color. Large sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and very delicate; there is a hint of roses and some fruit. A light bodied spiced ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of very delicate flavors, floral and roses, some honey and a fruit I guess is elderberry. Nice beer. You will really need to drink this one all by itself, any food pairing would overwhelm the flavors. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA

Aroma is attractive with floral and spicy notes. Medium bodied, fairly dry. There’s definitely something fun in this one. marcus (1864), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 19, 2008 On tap at Toronado. This golden ale poured with a short white head and a pleasant toasty aroma. There is a thin malt flavor and some barely discernable spices. The body is quite watery making this a mediocre example of a saison. joet (1708), Fulton, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 1, 2008 Something like Troublette? But less sweet, no biscuit flavors, not much in terms of aroma. Really not a lot here. Maybe a palate cleanser or or acidic with-food beer.Unspectacular. GG (1640), NorCal, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 10, 2008 Nothing about this beer really did much for me. It did carry a very nice floral nose, some rose petals, with some sweet malts and a touch spicy. All very soft and subdued. Flavors had some light, soft maltiness about it, a strong presence of flowers with just a soft herbal quality to it. Everything about this beer was soft and perhaps that’s what the goal was. It left just a whisper of flavor behind.
