Wulfstan (443), California, USA Sep 25, 2007 Updated: May 15, 2008This is a decent ale that is drinkable and pretty good with simple food, but hardly great. Its flavour is not very complex or deep, being mostly light grain with light hints of citrus and pine, its balance is just a tad off to the bitter side, and it is overall not exciting. It is, however, drinkable. Ernest (4229), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 15, 2007 Draught, Russian River.
Body is medium to dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately yeasty (dough).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Pretty rough. jasonp (1441), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Jul 1, 2007 Sampled at Russian River in mid-June 2007. Clear golden with a white head. Grain, noble hops and a hint of pretzel in the nose. Flavor has notes of pale grain, slight huskiness, hay, light lemon and saaz hops (I think). Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
