Dec 23, 2005 on tap at The Russian River Brewing Company in Santa Rosa, CA. pours a golden hue. minimal white head. some lacing (tiny bit). smells of pine and dirt. tastes of woddy hops, dirt and pine. Has a bitter bite at the start. sandy texture.

Aug 19, 2005 On tap at Hollingshead Deli: Pours a clear bright golden with a thin, fizzy white head. Aroma is faintly malty with a touch of citrus, wheat and European hops. Body starts semi-sweet and grainy turning more dry toward the smooth, but bland, bittersweet finish. An easy-drinking beer, but pretty mediocre.

Jul 31, 2005 Straw colored brew with a large white head. Light bodied and crisp. Very unassuming beer. Light use of hops along with an almost delicate wheat tartness makes this an easy drinker.

Jul 27, 2005 This blonde ale is not the brewery’s forte, but still is a very refreshing beer. As a golden, it was very typical to others in the category with nothing too dynamic about it. But it would be a great beer on a hot summer’s day. (That is, if you didn’t have access to any of their other selections.) Very pleasant, but can’t hold a candle to the Plinys, or any of the ’tions’.

Jun 3, 2005 Very fruity aroma with a hint of coconut. Suprisinly hoppy for a golden ale but it comes across nice. Taste has a bit of corriander.
