Apr 4, 2005 Had this on tap at Najas place. Wow, this beer was really good, I enjoyed it very much, it was a smooth citrusy flavor, some spices in there as well. I actually ordered this beer twice cause I enjoyed it so much.

Mar 23, 2009 Sterling Hop 2 It on draft at Russian River Brewing. Golden color with a white head. Floral hop aroma. Very well-balanced flavor with citrusy hops and sweet caramel malt. Great for a single hop beer, medium with hop oils on the palate.

Apr 6, 2009 Growler from the brewpub! Sterling hops. Nose has citrus hops with a hints of pine and flowers. Lightly hazy orange with a big pale yellow head that nices laces the glass. Flavor is moderate bitterness and a little caramel. Finish is nicely lingering bitterness.

Feb 1, 2005 Pours with a deep golden body topped by a thick, creamy head with a good amount of lacing. Wow, it’s hoppy as hell in both the aroma and flavor. Bitter piney notes prevail over slightly sweet grapefruit notes and a slight flowery note. The aroma is a little green with grainy notes. Medium to full bodied and slightly dry.

Apr 13, 2005 (F.O. in Santa Monica) Orange-gold with some head. Citrusy hops aroma. Nice citrus hops flavor, not over the top (but more than an English IPA).

Apr 28, 2009 This one was was on draft at the brewpub with the Sterling hops and listed at 5.80% ABV on the board. I had a draft pour and likec it so well I took home a growler. It poured a nice golden color with a good white head and lots of lacing. Nose is citrus and pine hop odors, so even though there is only one hop variety, this hop has multiple aromas. The mouthfeel was slick and creamy. Flavor is very classic IPA with some bitterness. Shows you don’t have to pack a beer with dozen different hops to make it taste good. Bitter finish. Simply a very drinkable and enjoyable brew.

Oct 9, 2006 Clean and extremely floral nose with a hint of biscuity malt. Orange blosson and citrus nose leading to a very clean and peonounced hop bitterness that leads to a wonderfully oily resinous mouthfeel. Nice hop finish with an extremely dry followthru.
