Golden fairly clear appearance with a nice frothy white. head.Faint pine like aroma. Crisp hop bitterness with a clean finish. A fairly decent IPA but not as complex and rich as the Stone and Port line. GG (1678), NorCal, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 26, 2007 On tap at the brewery. We did a side by side tasting of Blind Pig and RR IPA and I really think that the house IPA won hands down. An aroma of pine, grapefruit, caramel, toffee and very floral. Appearance was copper/orange in color, clear with an off-white head. Mouthfeel was medium-bodied, slightl alcohol burn and clean. Flavors were all nicely balanced with a refinement that’s hard to fine. Everything was so damned clean. Pine, grapefruit, and malts all playing together nicely. The drinkability of this beer is off the charts. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 12, 2007 Pint at RR - Aroma is hoppy citrus orange and nicely balanced by the malt. Pours bright transparent gold with a small head and good lacing. Flavor starts with strong orange hoppiness and ends with a nice malty finish. Palate is crisp and tart. As the waitress said, a very well balanced and drinkable IPA. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 30, 2007 On tap poured a slightly hazy gold color with a nice white head. The aroma had a nice fruity citrus hop with some good malt backing and some sweet sugar notes. The taste had a good amount of bitterness yet extreamly drinkable. Not a big over the top malt flavor, but the that’s what makes the hops so good. Vinnie really knows how to make a killer hoppy beer with a nice dry finish. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA

Golden in color with a frothy start. Lots of hops and pine start and a dry finish. Makes you wanting another taste very quickly. I am learning that you can’t go wrong with a Russian River Brew. luvcasks (178), USA

POurs light gold with a nice frothy white head. Incredible nose of hops.. and hops... piney, grapefruit and some apricot
Flavor has a low malt flavor with some caramel highlights and the hop flavors are resiny, citrus like with some apricot flavor
Finish is dry long lasting with various hoppy notes lingering
Overall: when tasted fresh this IPA is amazing one of my very favorites... though it is available all the time this is an IPA worth seeking out
