On tap at Hollingshead Deli. Pours a transparent hue of honeyed tangerines topped off with a generous portion of gleaming white, sudsy head. Pleasant west coast hop aroma without being overdone. Refreshing wafts of fresh orange zest and white grapefruit juice provide a nice clean citrusy perfume for my enjoyment on this hot summer day. Medium bodied, crisply carbonated mouthfeel with a cleansing hoppy palate wash. Balanced flavors of white grapefruit flesh and honey provide the bulk of the palate notes. Very nice, clean, well-contructed west coast IPA. Not exceedingly unique, but stylistically impressive.

(Draught, Hollingshead’s and Russian River) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, pineapple, florals, and caramel. Flavor of mild hops (floral, herbal) and caramel malt with a bitter finish.

Tap @ the Whistle Stop: Pours a wonderful dark golden color, with a nice piney hop smell. Just another wonderful beer from an awesome brewery.

Draught at O’Briens - San Diego: Clear, bubbly gold/amber color with large bubbles on the head. The nose is fresh and piney with notes of cenntenial and chewy pale malts. The flavor is huge with a nice malty body and prnounced sappy hops. Nice drinker with a good level of dry bitterness accompanied by all that malty goodness. Nice IPA, I’m glad this isn’t overdone, but then again it isn’t made here in San Diego.
