Feb 22, 2006 Light pale gold body with a heavy white head. Pines with heavy hops and some cheese are evident in the aroma. Good hop bitterness in the taste, combined with pine, citrus and spices. Sharp ending.

Feb 16, 2006 Draft from Dec 05. Copper gold pour and hazy. Grapefruit hoppy aroma, a bit rindy and a bit viney. Sweet caramel malt flavors with plenty of grapefruit citrusy hops. I felt there wasnt quite enough malt - a little thin and a little unbalanced maybe. But still very good.

Feb 13, 2006 Draught at O’Brien’s, San Diego. Hazily pale amber. Grapefruity hop aroma. Dry with pleasant crisp malt character and medium body. There are notes of apricots and the finish has a lingering very strong bitterness. A classy beer, but some harsh saltiness intrudes and disturbs the image of a great IPA.

Feb 12, 2006 Draft. Yellow gold with a thin white head. Metallic resinous Cascade family hop aromatics. Citrusy hop flavors, vestiges of malt peer through from underneath. Metallic resin finish. Mouthfeel is light medium, fairly dry.

Feb 8, 2006 Tap @ Barclay’s. Pale orange-amber color with minimal head. Piney aroma and flavor, fairly bitter, a hint of citrus, and some sweetness. Enjoyable, but not balanced with the malts.

Hazy light amber colour. Wonderful aroma - pine cones, lemon, cumin seed, mango. The flavours are the same megahoppy complex, fruity, piney, grapefruity characteristics. The malts are a bit thin, however, and this has a negative impact in the body and the finish.

Jan 23, 2006 Draft at Hollingshead Deli. Orange amber color, small head diminishing, aroma of pine, sweet citrus. Quite citrusy, medium body and chock full of cascade. Very good west coast IPA.
