Draft at the brewpub. Brilliant amber copper color with a decent white head. Aromas of citrus/pine. Near medium body with light carbonation. Flavor is all pine. Quite the sturdy hoppy, bitter one.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy pine needles aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy pine flavor with some hints of grapefruit. Has a sweetish malty bitter hoppy finish with hints of grapefruit in the aftertaste.

On tap at Stone World Bistro. Pours a hazy golden orange with a medium bubbly white head that left some lacing. Aroma of orange, floral notes, fresh hop cones, some caramel and bready malts. Flavor of toasted malt, resiny pine notes, grapefruit, flavor, light caramel and a decent amount of hop bitterness.

(10/28/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. 6.1%. Clear golden. Aroma of rather citrusy hops (grapefruit and pomelo) and some background malt. A balanced flavor with some malt sweetness and a good dose of delicate hop bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Enjoyed this with friends at Issac Newton’s in Newtown, PA. On tap, served a chilled (sigh) shaker. Deep golden, brilliant, clear and delicious. Nice white head dissipates fairly quickly. Some lacing. All about the hops — delicious flowery aroma and bitter finish that is a little bit sour and sweet. Would be delicious with a Szechuan stir fry or with Vietnamese chile dumplings. Dark flavor, roasty, and an exemplar of the style. I really really want to try some of the bigger brews by RR.

Tap at the brewpub. The body was deep gold with a light haze. The aroma was grapefruit with some almonds and bread. The taste was fairly bitter with flowers. A good full mouthfeel. Some nuttiness in the finish.

tap at beachwood....actually very hoppy and not as balanced as the blind pig...seems to have more of an aggressive hop characer

golden and clear, orange highlight, thin white head, aroma of straw and ripe hop perfume, bright flavors of grapefruit and lemon grass, pleasing and delightful, though I think I prefer the blind pig for its fuller hop flavor
