Draft @ RR. Pours a murky, yellow-white color, like pureed white grapefruit; frothy white head with solid retention and lacing that coats the glass. Pleasant aroma of bananas, dry cloves, with low acidity; a soft, and pulpy, lightly spiced banana nose. Medium mouthfeel: average carbonation, spicy perimeter of cloves and white pepper, with more citrus acidity than the nose suggests; core of light breadiness and bananas; a very charismatic, tasty witbier; one of the best I’ve had. Lengthy finish of toasted malts and light lasting bitterness.

Draught at the brewpub. Pale blond with a fluffy head that leaves lots of lace. The aroma is spicy (cracked pepper) with a nice fruity yeast and floral side. The flavor is light and refreshing with a light wheat tang, crackers, and a crisp but mellow bitterness. Light on the tongue with snappy carbonation. Really nice integration of components that you expect in the style, but pulled off with great aromatics.

A pale blonde wit with a thin lacing white head. A very nice banana, cloves and a bit of wild weed in aroma. In mouth, a nice creamy sweet banana bread with clove oil, well done and smooth. On tap at brewpub, August 17 2009.

On tap. This hazy yellow beer poured with a modest white head and a spicy aroma. It’s a fairly typical witbier with lemon, banana ester and spice. Refreshing and well-crafted, as you would expect from this brewer.

Tap. Cloudy pale yellow. Aroma is lightly spiced, underlying earthiness, yeast, and wheat. Pleasantly carbonated, nice mouthfeel, good amount of sweetness, very easy to drink and refreshing. Good summer brew.
