Sampler at the RR Brewpub (Santa Rosa, CA). Golden hazy pretty body with a nice head. Aromas are muted, light grainy sweetness. Body is nice, sweetness pervades with a nice mellow feel. Fruity estery notes of banana and citrus mixed with watery lightness. Ok. No real hop presence save a touch of bittering in the finish. Nice, just not really my style if it isn’t oozing of flavor.

Pours a cloudy dark yellow. Thin soapy head. Aroma: Sour fermented fruit, banana, spice, musk. Flavor is phenomenal: musky banana and spice flavor. I’m not educated enough in spice flavors to list them, but I get some saffron and cinnamon among more amazing other spices. Palate is balanced but a bit sharp upfront. It then mellows into a nice hop flavor.

Draught. Cloudy pale orange with very little head, but good lacing from the initial froth. Coriander dominates the aroma, citrus is in the background. Wonderful flavor, also coriander-led, well pronounced against subtle citrus notes. Very clean with a light spiciness. Thick and dry palate that suits the flavor perfectly.

On-tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a thin head of fine bubbles, sheet lace. Smells like grain and slightly sweet. Tastes grainy, yeasty, malty and bready. Aftertaste is sweet and yeasty. Medium body, vibrant carbonation.
